Nine years as a professional brewer, currently at Thompson Brewing Company in Riverside, CA. Before that, I was Head Brewer at Craft Brewing Company in Lake Elsinore until they closed in 2024. My focus has always been on the operational side: recipe development, quality control, team training, and running a production environment that doesn’t leave things to chance. Outside of the brewery, I’m the founder of FermentIQ, an AI-native brewery management platform built for independent craft breweries. I started building it internally at Thompson to solve real operational problems, and it’s grown into a full SaaS product with modules covering everything from production tracking to TTB compliance to financials. It’s currently live with production level users. I’m also the author of “Brewing Basics: Quick and Easy Rules to Making Good Beer at Home,” a practical guide built around 1-gallon batch brewing for people just getting started.
